quite a civil message really...

try this.....

smbclient -N -L 192.168.1.101

that'll list the shares it can find.

i cant beleive i was doing this all backwards. well i got shareddocs shared... BUT...now in samba what do i do...to access it and whatnot?

when i try to mount the c drive this happens if i include the (C)
"[root@localhost root]# mount -t smbfs //192.168.1.101/cb1-1 (C) /home/sysadmin
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `('"

and when i dont this happens
"[root@localhost root]# mount -t smbfs //192.168.1.101/cb1-1 /home/sysadmin
Password:
4088: tree connect failed: ERRDOS - ERRnosuchshare (You specified an invalid share name)
SMB connection failed"

/cb1 doesn't look like a valid mount point.

Code:
mount -t smbfs //192.168.1.101/C$ /home/sysadmin
Should do what you want.
