Mounting A Smb Share At Login - For Domain Users

We are installing 60 Linux OpenSUSE 10.1 computers in our schools and need to map student home directories on an individual basis. Basically, everyone has at least one network share on the MS2003 Server and they need to access it at login so they can work on any files. The mappings look like this: \\server\username$

Mounting each users share manually in the fstab through a smbmount or smbfs command isn't an option as there are 60+ computers and over 600 users that may need to have access to these computers. Unless there is a way to word it so I can put in a %username type of variable and it either asks the user for their password to map the share or takes it from the login. The students will be logging in to the domain at the KDE login screen.

I've messed around with this for a few hours and can't get it to work. Plus I'm kind of new to Linux and I'm sure that doesn't help. Any suggestions would be appreciated...
