mount help

Hello,

I used the RedHat8.0 before, and use the version of the kernel 2.4.18 now.

I want to speed up the html or image of server browsed by clients.

Someone tells me the other ways, besides mounting ramdisk, tmpfs or ramfs.

tnanks

The usual way is to pass everyone through a proxy server, either your own, or your ISP's proxy server..

This way images etc are cached and don't need to be downloaded again.

I seriously suggest you stop using RH8 if it's connected to the internet. There haven't been security updates for that version for several years.
A very quick and easy gateway with filtering and proxy is SmoothWall Express.
