I think its neat, but way over my head. ;)

snutz411 12-30-2004 06:50 PM

[sarcasm]will you be my new best friend vectordrake? [/sarcasm]

cidkato 01-01-2005 10:44 PM

Would you be kind enough to release your work?

snutz411 01-01-2005 11:37 PM

I've been experiencing some problems connecting to HRiders.com, if anyone has an account with them can you verify this? The code that I have works, and I'm in the middle of adding some features to it. I don't want to release it until HRiders does something about their servers because I don't want people telling me that my code doesn't work. One of the features I want to add in is something that will error check for delays in their server. Thanks for your interest

I haven't been able to receive mail at my hriders acct. If you could be kind enough to help me test it, that'd help in knowing. The address is clt at hriders dot com. I could send from it, but not to it. The email was "parked", waiting to get there, but eventually, gave up. ATM (11:05amAST, Jan 2, 2005), I could log into the account, but not check my mail. I'll get back to you as it goes along, but so far this looks like a dud (but a site about bikes is always kewl).

habala 01-12-2005 06:16 PM

tell me how

i have a hriders email and i would like to know how i can get a hriders filesystem plz tell me

snutz411 01-12-2005 06:21 PM

Hey all,

I've been away for a little while, sorry about that. I have the HRiders FileSystem working on my Linux box. It can be easily done by first establishing a connection to the HRider's servers. Even though they use IMAIL (port 8383), you can still send mail via SMTP. Once you have the connection established, the FileSystem is pretty easy. I did this using Java's JavaMail API. Just be aware the servers at HRiders tend to be really slow at times.

tamoneya 01-12-2005 07:05 PM

How do you ever use 1 TB. That is bigger then a hard drive. However i do like the attachment size. cool

snutz411 01-12-2005 07:09 PM

Well, I filled up my account so far with about 10gigs worth of stuff. I got 1014 gigs left to go, haha. I am in the process of creating a project at SourceForge. I'll let you all know when it is done.

phobozad 01-16-2005 02:18 AM

Just so you know, hriders uses pop3 too. The server is mail.hriders.com:110. Login is your entire email address. Just thought I'd let you know as this may make it a little simpler.

snutz411 01-16-2005 09:27 AM

I also found that it uses SMTP anyway. I guess its whatever suits your fancy
