monitor wireless via Nagios
Hi all,
I've been trying to research on how to use Nagios to monitor my wireless network but could not really find what Im trying to aim for. Basically what I want to accomplish is to monitor my wireless connectivity, mainly concerned of it's bandwidth. Is it possible to set this up via nagios? I want Nagios to send notifications if the bandwidth is below average I specify. Please someone advise. Thanks, DB ;) |
If you search exchange.nagios.org for bandwidth you get a list of plugins. Does reading a few of the descriptions (to understand what this is all about in general) help get you going?

i think the check_bandwidth3 plugin might be best for you.

snmp should be on and a readonly community password needs to be set. most devices are set with one called public. just change that, whatever it is to something more secure. the script will use snmp to gauge the bandwidth |
