modprobe ath_pci fails with new kernel

I have a Fedora Core 6 machine and I use the madwifi drivers for the Atheros wireless card in the laptop.

Whenever I update the kernel I just do a "modprobe ath_pci" and my wireless card works just fine again. It's been that way for many iterations of kernel version. Until now..

I recently updated the kernel to 2.6.22.7-57 from 2.6.20-1.2962 and now when I do my modprobe I get:
FATAL: Module ath_pci not found

Booting the old kernel then everything is fine so there's something changed in moving from the 2.6.20 kernel to the 2.6.22.

I am using madwifi 0.9.3-2 which I think is the latest version.

Any ideas where I should start looking?

Thanks folks...........Chris

The problem is that you need modules to go with your new kernel. Perhaps in the past, this was taken care of automatically. Anyway, try re-installing the madwifi modules.
