The following message is showing up in my server's ( RH8.0) message log file: "smbd: PAM [dlerror: /lib/security/pam_smbpass.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]" note double quotes mine. I received NO help from RH. They will fix it in another release ( now that sounds like Bill Gater - not sure about the name spelling - and company). It is a missing module both in 7.? and 8.0 from RH. I poked around samba.org and got lost. So can anyone help me with.... where to find "pam_smbpass.so" and how to install it if there is more to it than just copying it to the server. Thanks.
