Unhappy Marvel Yukon Gigabit Ethernet on REd Hat Enterprise 4 Issues

Hello All, Iam using a Acer Veriton 6800 Core Duo Computer with 4 GB Ram,with integrated Marvel Yukon Gigabit Ethernet, as a server for a database application. I have had a situation when the server suddenly stops communicating. We are not able to ping it from outside, nor we can ping from the server. The clients and server are connected to SMC Gigabit managable switch. Once the server is restarted, the server is normal, communicating as usual. I have faced this now in three computers, all Acer with MArvel Yukon gigabit integrated cards. Has anyone faced this issue? Is this because of the integrated network card, or because of using Gigabit networkcard with SMC Gigabit Switch? Going crazy with this... Any answers please?

Currently, I'm having a problem with the same Marvel Yukon Gigabit Ethernet card (sklin98). It was ok when I was using the kernel 2.4.31, but some days ago I was testing the kernel 2.6.18 and some how the system is unable to bring it up automatic. After a while I saw that the ipv6 module was load. I have disabled it and now my network connexion is very fast.

I have to work a little bit on the issue with the cards because it just recognized the other realtek card (8139too).
