bdp Member Registered: Apr 2002 Distribution: RH 9 Posts: 230 Rep:	manually refresh wins database? Greetings, I set up the building with a DHCP/SAMBA server so people can connect to the LAN from various points and easily upload data. The trouble is I have to kill the WINS server or the database maps names to old numbers (WINS database refresh too slow). Neither restarting the SAMBA server nor power cycling the clients results in an update. Any suggestions how to change the update frequency or something I can run as a chron job? Thanks if any ideas, - bp
