mandriva 2008 ethernet errors

Hello,

After installing 32bit Mandriva 2008 on an Asus K8N4-E SE MB, I encounter problems on ethernet. Basically, under firefox 2.0.0.11, some images (either jpeg or png) are uncorrectly displayed. Also, it seems like some html is not correctly received or interpreted as the page layout is sometimes weird with html code appearing on the page.
The ethernet controller is nvidia CK804 onboard. I also tried a PCI eepro100 ethernet card, and results are the same. Also tried noapic switch on boot, same behaviour. Also tried to reboot the Netgear router, with no success.

Also tried with Epiphany with same problems.

I had previously no such problem with 64bit Mandriva 2006 system on the same PC.
I installed Mandriva 2008 in 32bit in order to simplify the library management as I had to install some software in 32bit and some other in 64bit.

Thanks in advance for information if you had this kind and problem and found some workaround ...

Are you sure you are not just viewing badly coded pages?

Please provide URLs.

Hello Simon,

thanks for investigating.

Actually this happens randomly on any URL I visit, and the problem may disappear when I force page reloading out of cache. I try to fix this problem browsing photo.net gallery pages because they are full of images, but I also experiment the problem on www.lemonde.fr, google ... all of them are - I think - supposed to be well coded !

Try Opera - lets really eliminate Gecko (firefox and epiphany both use gecko, opera uses presto).

Basically, if correct code reaches you, then the browser should display it.
So, either correct code is not reaching you, or the browser is broken.

Solved

Well, I tried opera with same results ...
Also tried with a macbook on the same network, and got the same behaviour !
Rebooted the ISP DSL box and router, and everything is OK now. Actually it has nothing to do with the new Mandriva installation.

Thanks again for helping.

Next in the troubleshoot list - well done.
