Mandrake ignoring Shorewall?
I'm a little confused.
My network was running OK for internet sharing. Then I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.7 and now it doesn't work. My Shorewall ruleset is pretty simple allowing tcp 20,21,22,80 to go through... It was working alright with the other ports closed.... BUT NOW.. my nmap shows
PORT STATE SERVICE
21/tcp open ftp
22/tcp open ssh
53/tcp open domain
80/tcp open http
111/tcp open rpcbind
139/tcp open netbios-ssn
443/tcp open https
445/tcp open microsoft-ds
3128/tcp open squid-http
6000/tcp open X11
( I know I shouldn't pubish)...
Computers behind my firewall are getting their IPs fine via dhcpd. Why would Mandrake ignore shorewall. PS: I have a list of my modules before and after the upgrade.. the ones missing from the new lsmod:
md5, supermount, ipt_multiport, udf, nls_iso8859-1, hid
Can it be a kernel problem (cause that's what I've done) or a config prob (cause now it ignores my shorewall rules)...
any help is appreciated
