mandrake 9 and my internet connection
 

I just installed Mandrake 9. So now my system is a Win XP/Mandrake 9 dual boot.
I don't get an internet connection :mad:
While booting everything says OK.
I have my cable modem connected to my realtec RTL 8139 network card.
In windows my connection works fine

PS: I'm a :newbie: in linux, so please think about that when you say how to so something

use the console, and type in ifconfig

If it shows some valid ip information... you may not have dns working correctly

First of all you must configure your nic by using the Drakconf

If it is still cannot connect to intrenet...... you must configure the internet browser example mozilla .........

Well thanks for the answers, but i found it, i had to install dhcpcd.
