Respected Members:

I am facing an error when I run the following command.

Command:
autoreconf -i
Error:
man/Makefile.am:11: `%'-style pattern rules are a GNU make extension

============================

/usr/src/mipv6-daemon-umip-0.4/man is the directory.
Makefile.am is the file name.

Following line is written on the line 11.
%.man: %.tmpl

I'm using Fedora Core 11 on Dell Machine Precision 360

Could you please guide me what should I do to recover this error.

mipv6-daemon-umip-0.4 :

# yum install mipv6-daemon
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...ux/updates/11/

The Fedora package "mipv6-daemon" is built from mipv6-daemon-umip-0.4.tar.gz
+ four patches :
mipv6-daemon-header-fix.patch mipv6-daemon-nd-opts-sanity-check.patch
mipv6-daemon-nemo.patch mipv6-daemon-netlink-msg-origin-check.patch
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...2.fc11.src.rpm
.. And this one is used in RHEL 6 :

Many Thanks for the quick reply.

The package you mentioned, mipv6-daemon, was not installed.

Now I have installed it, but the error is still same.
man/Makefile.am:11: `%'-style pattern rules are a GNU make extension

it shows mipv6-daemon-0.4-2.fc11.i586, when I use the command: rpm -q mipv6-daemon

1) 'autoreconf' is not required. Don't use it.

2) The patches are required : Impossible to build mipv6-daemon without.

3) You don't have to build anything, when the package mipv6-daemon is installed !
