Making Windows+Linux environment
Hello Dear All,
Happy New Year to all of you, I am using Red Hat linux Enterprises edition, and I have configured squid and samba. At present i am using squid for blocking some websites only. and samba server is for sharing a folder accross network(Windows+Linux). 1.Now I want to configure such type of networking system in which every user must logon using its own username and password(same for both) to linux and windows server and he/she have own home directory which must be acessible to both linux and windows.(I mean one directory/folder per user in a network.) 2.and also I want to use the squid for traping users those are trying to access unauthorised websites. Please Help me, Have a nice day, Rajendra Shakyawal |
This is similar to a previous post from someone wanting to control Web access at a school. I had googled and found this how-to: http://www.cecea.org/jojo/cleanweb/
If you have Swat installed, this will also install the publication "Samba 3 by Example" on your computer, which contain several real world working examples. You access swat through your web browser: http:/localhost:901/ or directly from the local file: /usr/share/doc/packages/samba/htmldocs/Samba-Guide/index.html The package with the samba documentation may be called "samba-doc". It may also be available at the http://www.tldp.org website. http://www.ecea.org/jojo/cleanweb/ |
