Mailserver Question

Hi all,

I have a backup MX for my qmail server so that when it goes down it will store and forward mail. This is great but I was told the backup server has a feature where by my mailserver can inform the backup when it is back online so messages can be delivered instantly rather than the backup attempting to deliver every 30 mins.

Does anyone know what this is called and have any links so I can work out how to enable it on my machine?

Thanks

Surely someone must know the answer to this, is it really that hard a question?

I'm not 100% sure I understand but I think what you want to do is issue a "qmail-send" command on the remote server.
