mail

hullo,

not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes...

i want to sent my mail directly and not through my ISP..... this use to work fine until i installed smoothwall on an old machine and ran my net connection through that.

When i try to send i get the message..

Sending failed:

Cannot open SMTP connection to host localhost for sending.

I have tryed using sendmail as well with no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated.
PS i am still pretty much a newbie so if ya could could keep it simple.

Thanx in advance

Col
