LVS + monitoring and alerting

Hi,

I am currently installing an LVS cluster in order to act as a front end for a pool of DNS servers. The goal is to virtualize the DNS infrastructure and dispatch DNS requests through the LVS infra to an up-and-running DNS from the pool.

LVS then checks the availability of the DNS service on each physical machine of the pool and switch the weight of the DNS server to 0 when it fails or is no more available.

In addition to switching the weight of this server to 0, I would also like that LVS sends a mail to the 'LVS first level' team to inform them about this problem.

Is this possible? Have you already done done and how did you configure this?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Vincent
