Logon to Samba- PDC

I have installed Samba as my PDC. I am running Windows XP Pro as a workstation. I was able to join the domain, however when I rebooted the XP station I was not able to logon. I'm getting the message " Windows cannot connect to the domain, it is down or other wise unavailable or your computer account was not found." I've made changes to the Win XP registry, I have also disable the options in the "security options" on the Win XP box. I made sure that there is a machine account on the Samba server and that it was enabled (I was able to join the domain). I have also verified that the Samba server is running. In addition to these things I have made sure that the firewall is not set. Please assist, I'm at a lost.
