localhost: RPC: Unable to receive; errno = Connection refused

I am trying to establish basic system messaging in Fedora 21 with rwalld. My basic test is:

echo Test | rwall localhost

From which I receive the error message.

'rpcinfo -p | grep walld' indicates the rwall service is starting.

ps ax | grep rpc indicates rpc services are starting.

I tested with firewalld stopped and disabled and still receive the same error message.

Surfing the web does not provide me clues.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks.

You can use "rpcinfo -u host program" to test rwall program. Or using another machine to rwall the machine.
