Hi
If you've used the firestarter firewall you'll know it has a neat feature on the "Status" tab that displays a total of the size of all the network traffic that has passed through each network interface on the computer, and also displays how much traffic is passing through each second in real(ish) time:
For example:
Quote:
Device ____________ Type ____________ Recieved _______________ Sent ______________ Activity
eth0 ______________ Internet _________ 89.3MB ________________ 12.3MB ____________ 41.2KB/s
|
I was wondering, are there any lite network monitoring tools I can use to see this information (both ncurses and GUI?). I've tried bwmon and bwbar, but I can remember one being not very good and the other only displaying the total amount of traffic in MB/s etc.
since the program was started, which is not what I want and not what firestarter does. Any suggestions?
(Also, the Active Connections display beneath what I described above: again, any suggestions? Thanks).
