Hi,

I'm sure that I'm missing something obvious, so I'm pulling on my flame suit ;->

I've got two slackware workstations on a LAN. They are running 10.2 with 2.6.10 testing kernel.

I can use SSH to connect and browse the other system.

I would like to create a mount point and mount my music directory on the other computer. I tried to mount it with KDE, and I can mount a "SMB" share (I have a samba server loaded there I guess is why).

But, my favorite music players won't browse the SMB share.

So I am wondering, how does one mount a volume on another Linux workstation within the same subnet?

Thx a lot for the kind advice,

desertViking

By the way, the message title implies that I think I need to start the lisa daemon, but I cannot find that on my system. I tried to download and build the source from sourceforge, but the build failed. I've built other things like Wine and Amarok which tells my my basic install is probably ok.

Thx again...
