Linux to Linux LAN

I want to create a LAN network with my two Linux machines, using NFS, but I can't understand how to do this. I have enable NFS sharing and I have set share permissions to folders but it doesn't seem to work. So far I work the LAN with ssh from one machine to the other. Soon I'm going to have one more machine and I'd like to have a small network with the three of them.

Thanks in advance for your replies!
