Linux stations on netware network, how to use netware logins?
I work in a charter highschool as the system admin and CS instructor. I have used linux for a long time and have implimented linux on all our stations (dual boot). Our district uses a netware network, I have netware volumes mounted no problem using ncpfs, and a custom perl script that runs at login gives users access to the proper recources. However I am currently required to maintain 2 userlists, the first is the netware userlist that is setup largely by the district. The second is on a linux box that I have designated as a server, the workstations syncronize the passwd, shadow and group files from this server on boot thus the one userlist on that server suffices for all the stations (which are clones).
My next step would be to configure the stations to login using the netware logins. My experience with netware is limited (5 weeks of not interacting much with it) so I am stuck. I have done some google searching, but I am afraid my netware knowledge is too limited for me to formulate a proper search string.
The district admin told me to look into webdav, goliath (for macs) and the other utils, but I did not see anything that involved logins.
Another thing to consider is that the stations do make use of the groups in which users belong. geames group for the schools gaming club, and wheel group for student tech helpers, etc. If using netware logins makes such grouping impossible or impractical I will simply maintain 2 lists.
Stations specs:
Pentium 4 3.0 HT
512mb ram
40gb hd divided 20 for win and 20 for lin
Gentoo custom build from stage 1 specifically for these stations
I do not know much about the netware except that we have 2 servers, a main and an admin, the main one is where logins/imaging/userfolders are.

firstly you need ncpfs installed to allow you to mount and access novell shared drives
Never personally tried logging in and using the Netware scripts like Windows Client does however these might help with that stage
