NTP server in Linux

Linux has had excellent NTP facilities for ages. By NTP I assumed
you meant "network time protocol".

For Ubuntu:
Code:
sudo apt-get install ntp
Having learned from Lazlow that you are talking about Network News Transfer Protocol -- I have truncated this post.

I can't help you.

I suspect he is talking about Network News Transfer Protocol: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NNTP

If you are talking about a full blown news server you are going to be in pretty specialized territory. The guys who run newsleech and binsearch are pretty friendly and MAY be in a better position to help point you in the "best" direction.
