Unhappy Linux Networking Help

Hello to all

I have a linux server with 40 machines as client of the server ,

The server has NIS , NFS

The client are mounted to the server using FSTAB

On the server side it take a very long time to start the NFS service

On the client side , the NFS Service fails stating that "RPC - Time out"

Can any suggest what may be the problem and how to rectify it

pls mail to vin_linux@yahoo.com

what about the IPs??
the server has a dhcp daemon running??

Try this, put an entry in /etc/hosts for each client in your net, something like

192.168.1.241 ws241.ltsp ws241
192.168.1.242 ws242.ltsp ws242

.
.
.

an then restart all your services.
