Lightbulb Linux-Networking Configuring Samba and Firewall

Hi all,
I installed samba server on linux redhat 7.1 with win2k and win98 clients,with the ipchains option disabled.I was wondering if I install firewalls will it cause any problems in functioning of samba.I mean do I need to enable ipchains.
