Maybe Samba?

Hi malangbaba,

I am not sure, but maybe you are referring to SAMBA, which is an application to share directories in LINUX with windows machines. You would access the LINUX server just like a shared folder in windos by mapping the network drive.
If you are referring to share directories between two or more LINUX boxes you may have to mount a NFS volume, but I donīt have knowledge about this.

Regards,
Julix

running samba ?.. fire konqueror or any other browser and type smb://machine_name you should be able to see the directories.make sure you are able to ping the machine and if not check your firewall settings.
