Linux box Authenticate against Active Directory

Dear Fellows,

Hi,

I m using win2000 server as a DNS server with following details.

IP : 192.168.7.1
domian : horizon.com

now i have a red hat linux 9.0 client

Ip: 192.168.7.210
Primary dns : 192.168.7.1
Host : eagle.horizon.com

I can ping my server from linux client , now i want to authenticate my linux box from win200 active directory .

i have created a user "pingpong" in my active directory.

Can any one help for next steps.

Or any other best and easy tutorial for this assignment.

waiting for your positive response.

Thanks

my friend...
the tutorial undoubtedly is there but its long...
http://samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samb...in-member.html

the next step is to configure your smb.conf, krb5.conf and nsswitch.conf...
and do a domain join...
#>net ads join
check with ...
#>net rpc testjoin...

you are set ...
but as you can expect... you must have all valid configs first...

best luck...
post if you are in problem
