hey everyone. im hoping u all can help me. my husband runs Windows XP Pro. and i run Slackware 9.1. My computer is in my living room and his is in his studio. We share a cable connection through a router and a very very long network cable LOL. We want to be able to network the two computers so that if i want to print something for example all i do is hit the print button and whatever it is i am printing will come out on his printer since mine is busted. can anyone tell me what i need to do this? i have read a bit about Samba, but since i am a newbie i dont really get it. hope u can all offer some of that great advice that i know u all are good at.

ok, well have you already installed samba on your linux box?

if not, it can be found at samba.org
