I need to be able to log a Linux workstation (Fedora Core 4) on to a Open Directory domain (OS X). I can't seem to find many people that are doing this. It seems most people are logging onto Active Directory domains. Any ideas on where to start?
Once this is solved I will need to run a linux service as a particular domain user which I'm sure will be easier once the above is figured out.
Probably the best places to start are Apple-specific sites like afp548.com and MacEnterprise, as Mac is a bit of a separate world from Linux. I beleive that Open Directory uses Open Source products for Kerberos authentication with an LDAP backend, although there may be quirks in the implementation.
