At my school, we use windows (blech i know) but it is neat how it is setup. In that, if I install a software on my username and password, or save it to my documents, no matter which machine I login to, it has my files/programs.
There must be a way to do this in linux, and in fact, If I can show it to my school, they will switch over to linux. (roughly 600 pc's)
Where can i start looking/reading about it, or do you guys have any heads up for me.
These enable a directory such as the user's home directory to be automatically mounted from a remote filesystem (eg a centralized SMB or NFS server), so that the user can use their files from any workstation (see example in RedHat).
