I've setup SNMP and have several machines monitored through cacti. Everything is being reported smoothly except for memory usage. Machines that have under a 1024MB of RAM seem to display correctly, but server machines with 4+GB of memory aren't displaying anything at all, using the same settings.
Is there something additional I need to configure for the large amount of RAM?
I'm still looking around, but any help is appreciated. Thanks!
This is not going to actually be a net-snmp or ucd-snmp config issue, but a cacti configuration issue. I have been working with cacti and it's configuration for some time, and I also have come across this. This is most likely a mibs/cdef issue. I am trying to figure out what needs to be done in the calculation. SNMPwalk is very useful, and if you have any luck or ideas keep me informed. Also, I have sucessfully configured cacti for Karlnet equipment.
