Anyone know of a linux program that can benchmark/test your LAN's speed? I don't mean one of those web apps, I want an app that I can compile and run on my linux systems (FC4, RH9, etc.)
It is a client/server program, so you have one computer run it in server mode, then on the other machine you tell it to connect to the server and it transfers data between the two and gives you speeds for the transfers.
It runs on both Windows and Linux, so it is good in any situation.
