Lan Problem from Windows to Linux
I have got 2 PC: 1 desktop with Fedora Core 1 and the other is a hp laptop with Windows 2000 professional.
The first has this configuration:
Motherboard Asus P4P800 Deluxe
PIV 2.66 Ghz
LAN 3COM 1Gb (using driver SysKonnect SK-98xx Gigabit) with IP 192.168.0.1/24
1Gb bytes RAM
120 Gb harddisk
The second has this configuration:
Pentium III 1 Ghz
1 LAN 10/100 Mbit: Intel 10/100 with IP 192.168.0.2/24
I have got also a cross-cable
This is the problem:
From the desktop I can ping to the laptop and all is ok (telnet, vnc, ping, etc.)
When I try to make the same from laptop to the desktop, I can't do ping, vncviewer, etc.
If I start from the laptop witk Knoppix, all is ok.
firewall (iptables, ipchains) is disabled.
Someone can help me ?
thanks.
