I am looking for a cross platform messenger tool - I have tried Linpopup bub it did not work out well for me, is there any alternatives that one can use?
i meant jabber as a service actually, but you could use gaim as a client.
i use it for everyday IMing and the jabber support is usable in the CVS version (built about 3 weeks ago)
