kv8 pro and fedora ethernet

I just istalled fedora 64 core 2 on my new comptuer that is running on a Abit kv8 pro motherboard with a built in gigabite ethernet controller......
I am a bsd guy so I am not that familiar with fedora but bsd didnt like my sata drives so here I am, how do I get my internet to work. I tried

setup network,
then put in some info and then tried to activate it and it didnt work so well, just said failed to load on eth 0 , and named some card, I am not sure if this is the right card since I was playing with it earlier and chose that card for one of the settings but then deleted all of my configurations. but its one of the ones I chose earlier

What kind of ethernet card is it?

Can you post the output from:
lspci
lsmod

well on the kv8 pro it says its a

#

Gigabit LAN
# On board VT6122 10/100/1000 Mb PCI Ethernet Controller

thats what the motherboard specs say.......

as far as output goes i have no way of getting my output to post it cuase I have no floppy drive yet and no network cuase the card wont work, right now i am on my bsd labtop

I realise that it is a bit to type so maybe you could just check for the Ethernet controller - do you get anything with:
lspci | grep Eth

I tried the ispci comand and its giving me a command not found

it was doing that to me for ifconfig earlier too, I dont knwo whats up with that

It probably isn't in your PATH - try:
/sbin/lspci | grep Eth

hmmmm unknown device, do I have to like configure something in like boot to support unknown devices thats what I had to do for bsd on my labtop

also what wireless card would you suggest becuase I might put this desktop wireless
