Kubuntu IP configuration
 

Hello,

I have installed Kubuntu linux distro 2 days ago. I have broadcom wireless card which i managed to configure and get kubuntu to recognize it using fwcutter.

After this step i tried to connect wirelessly to my router so that i can surf the internet but a problem happend.

The software in linux KNetworkManager as far as i remember detected my wireless network SSID, when i click on it the connection starts to configure hardware and when it gets to "57% IP Configuration Started" it hangs there and requests me to enter the passphrase again and again until i got bored and knew there was a problem. I removed the password authentication from the wireless router network configuration but the same problem happens at IP configuration step.

Please provide me with a solution to this problem as i really got bored of Windows both XP and Vista.
