Kubuntu 10.04: Hibernate/Sleep deactivates KNetworkmanager

Hello to all,
I'm a new member of LinuxQuestions but using Ubuntu since January,Kubuntu since last month (KDE 4.5.1).
I've got the problem that hibernate/sleep deactivate the Network Manager.
There is no error report, only that network is deactivated.
By now I solved the problem by editing the
Code:
/var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state.
How can I prevent Hibernate/Sleep from deactivating the Networkmanager?

Thanks for your help

PS: Write slow, I'm German and my English has gotten rusty

I believe you will need to write (or find) a script that will deactivate NetworkManager prior to hibernation/sleep, and reactivate it after awakening.

Hello to all,

@ RockDoctor: thank you for your reply. Now I know there is a solution, but I'm a newbie with no idea how to write a script.
I will search for a script like you recommended and learn (need to learn) how to write.
I would appreciate, if you or anybody else could give me a hint.
Thank you
