Hi,

I am trying to dial up from my laptop using KPPP... but somehow the dialing up always exits with an error code 1. Viewing the logs, I get this:

Jul 20 18:07:58 localhost pppd[1066]: pppd 2.3.11 started by root, uid 0
Jul 20 18:07:58 localhost pppd[1066]: ioctl(PPPIOCGFLAGS): Invalid argument
Jul 20 18:07:58 localhost pppd[1066]: tcsetattr: Invalid argument
Jul 20 18:07:58 localhost pppd[1066]: Exit.

I am not too sure of what is the problem.. my modem has been detected properly after I installed the pcmcia-cs packet.. but I can't seem to dial in... Been surfing around to look for answers but just can't seem to find the right ones..

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

enable the full logging of ppp in /etc/ppp/options file and check the log and u may get idea what is the problem

Thanks for all the replies. It has been solved. I just needed to install pppd of verson 2.41 and above. I found it in a kppp faq...
