knowing ips from instant messanging


does anybody has an idea how to know an ip if i am using yahoo ? for an example i wanna know my friend ip and he is using only yahoo messenger or msn or something

You could only do that if you are transferring files directly to each other over.

So send him a file, and check "netstat -a".

and in linux ?

and in linux cause it was the cmd on microsoft thank u

netstat is also a linux command:
