Does anyone know how too enable IP Port Forwarding
in 2.2.20?

I have no options for enabling it in MAKE MENUCONFIG
or MAKE CONFIG.

I read an article on enabling port forwarding in 2.2.20 as follows:
Config_IP_Masquerade=y
Config_IP_Masquerade_Mod=y
Config_IP_Masquerade_IPAutofw=y
Config_IP_Masquerade_IPPortfw=y
Config_IP_Masquerade_MFW=y

BUT I cant find any entry of this sort in .config ....

why dont you just update to kenel 2.4.x???

If your gonna do the recompile might as well recompile to 2.4.16 or newer.

if you need to keep on the old 2.2.x kernel, you shouldn't need to recompile it, it should already be set up to accept it, just use

echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
