1- install java from sun's website
1.a remove icetea openjdk plugin
1.b link sun's java in your $HOME/.mozilla/plugins dir

2- install xterm using yum install xterm

I'd like to thank you, after days of searching and reading and tweaking I finally got the Juniper Network Connect working thanks to this. I had been through the process of installing Sun's java and relinking firefox, etc. from a tip I saw on another site, but the last suggestion here (installing xterm) is what I needed to finally get it working.

Thanks

You're welcome. Here are some details on how to get Sun's Java working on Fedora 11.
