Joining FC6 SAMBA to AD Domain?

Ok everyone...here is what's going on...

I installed FC6 on a RAID 5 card in a new tower I built. The ultimate goal is a file server...thats all. I installed SAMBA and SWAT. I joined the domain, at least I think I did? How can I see the windows computers from the FC6 box, but I cannot see the linux box from any windows workstation or from the server?

Is there any easier way to setup a shared folder on the linux box so all windows clients can connect to it? I just wanna take off the load on the Domain Controller. I would like all the user data on the linux box for sharing. I was supposed to have this thing running almost a month ago. I am way beyond frustrated.

My DC is Windows Small Business Server 2003 and all workstations are XP Pro. I am a total newbie with Linux so please talk to me like an idiot, because I am one. The easier the steps the better.

Thanks for any help you may be willing to give.

In SWAT, under status...it says the winbindd is not running. It won't let me start it either. I got the other two running...nmbd and smbd.

Don't know if that helps or not.

Here is my smb.conf file...
