joining an winxp machine into an linux domain returns an remote procedure call failure

samba`s log from the computer i want to youin into a domain has logged this error

INVALID PIPE HANDLE

could the port configuration be the problem ?
i have an MSRPC poprt opened on port 135 on an WinXp machine but on a linux machine i have portmaper opened port 111 for rpc
