iSCSI iqn target naming convention for internal network
What should I name my iSCSI targets?
I don't really want to use a real domain name because this iSCSI is only for internal network, none of this traffic is ever going to be hitting the internet so why use a real domain name? Also real domain names change as Companies are sold or taken over so using a real domain name would seem to me to be really bad practice.
Just wondering what everyone else uses. For example would the following suggestion work ok:
iqn.1901-01.local.domainname
