Is there any way to reattach a program still running over a dead X11 connection?

I was just running QTDesigner on a remote RedHat 9 linux machine from a local RedHat 8 machine via ssh and X11 port forwarding. After an abrupt power failure and subsequent reboot, I noticed upon sshing back into the remote machine that the original sshd, bash, and designer processes are still running and attached to pts/1. My new connection is on pts/2. Is there any way to reattach the programs to my new connection? I would love to save my work before killing the processes!

Thanks
