i have a dial up internet connection.
my ISP assigns me dynamic ip addr.
is my ip addr public or private for the connected time?
can i host a web site based on DDNS?
i am not sure to post this questions in this forum or not,
but i thought this might be the suitable forum.
apologizing if i am wrong.
How could we possibly know if you don't post the network portion of your IP address?
If it is 192.168.xxx.xxx then the answer is no. Some DSL companies will give you a private 192.168.xxx.xxx address. There are other private ranges such as 10.xxx.xxx.xxx but this is more common for corporate LANs.
my current session ip addr is 172.29.12.122
netmask is 255.255.255.255 (!! how is it possible?)
default gw 172.29.12.122
am i directly connected to internet?
is it public? can anyone connect through vnc to my pc ?
