Is it possible to play a dvd over a network?

My main computer has a dvd drive in it, and my other computer has a tv hooked up to it. I was wondering if I could mount my main computer's dvd drive over my network and play dvd movies on my tv computer. I tried doing it with NFS, but when I try mounting the dvd drive from my tv computer I get:

[root@localhost dvd]# mount 192.168.254.147:/media/cdrecorder /media/dvd/
mount: 192.168.254.147:/media/cdrecorder failed, reason given by server: Permission denied

Any thoughts on what else I could try, or is this even possible?

Thanks in advance, Jared
