Hi All - I have an interesting issue. I am unable to load (properly)
http://www.austinreefclub.com/ on my LAN computers, but it works fine when loading from my NAT / Server machine.
According to Chrome, the minimized stylesheets and javascript requests time out, so after a while the page loads, but looks horrible and doesn't work very well.
On the same machine, FireFox will not even load the page.
Through wireless (bridged to NAT / LAN) the page loads fine on Android. Changing the user agent on the desktops does not solve the issue.
I run a very minimal firewall and I am thinking maybe somewhere NAT or a related issue is the cause.
The desktop machines are windows, in private browsing mode with all plugins disabled the site behaves the same. I have no active internet security, windows firewall is disabled, static network config... and I have checked for viruses, rootkits, BHO's and alikes.
Nobody else is reporting issues with the site - I even tried with a new user / clean profile. Windows is windows, but I want to rule out any networking artifacts first. My wife also reports that facebook, photobucket, and yahoo mail will frequently give errors or not load sections of the page or have unresponsive features, not upload pictures... I know these are big busy sites and you can expect the occasional quirks, but they seem too frequent. Could it be a simple TTL / Mangle issue? I transfer large files on this same machine with no issues and I have a very solid internet connection.
My network config is as follows:
cable modem (bridge mode, 192.168.100.1 for admin, public IP to eth1) -> NAT / NAS Box (192.168.0.1) -> Linksys e2000 (dd-wrt) running passively - functions like a switch - 192.168.0.254 for admin and 192.168.0.253 for the wifi-ap.
Hardwire connections, GW and DNS on 192.168.0.1
This started before I replaced my switch with the e2000 - so we can rule that out. I will be doing a new machine build in about a week or so - if I have the same problems we can say for sure it is networking related. In the meantime, if anyone has some insight I am open for suggestions.
Thanks
