iptables configuration

I am using Redhat7.2 system.
how can I change the iptables from the high level to no firewall
without the firewall configuration in the setup.
Should I edit /etc/sysconfig/ipchain.conf?
and How?

ipchains and iptables are two different rule sets to configure a firewall. if you dont want a firewall you might just stop the services.

/etc/rc.d/init.d/iptables stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/ipchains stop
